From your key, to ours
Every BLAK ATELIER case begins as a solid billet with its interior waiting for a blade. Once we hold your blade, we machine the inside of the case to its exact profile — so the finished key fits seamlessly and snugly. Here is exactly what happens after you commission yours.

Commission your case
Configure and order your bespoke key case in the configurator. Each case is CNC-machined to your exact specification — finish, insignia seal and laser inscription — and carries its own sequential serial number, matching your order number, etched onto the rear.

Have a new blade cut
Take your original key to any Timpsons branch and have a new blade cut. Alternatively, visit Keyways in Bury St Edmunds and reference BLAK ATELIER — they know our profiles. Your original key stays with you.

Post the new blade to us
Your blade is the master we machine to. The inside of every case is cut to the exact profile of the blade it will carry, so send us the new blade — machined to its dimensions, the fit is seamless and snug with no play or rattle. Include your order number and use a tracked service.
- 04
We machine, fit and return — two weeks
Once your blade arrives at the workshop, we machine the interior of your case to match it precisely, fit the blade, hand-finish and inspect the complete key. It is dispatched back to you within two weeks of us receiving the blade. Bespoke colour requests carry an additional two weeks lead time — and although every effort will be made to match the colour you require, sometimes a healthy compromise needs to be found. Bespoke jobs may also carry a price increase due to minimum quantity orders for paints.
